SPACE-SAVING TIP:
When saving scanned images and artwork files in Adobe
Photoshop, save them as .eps files with a JPEG (maximum
quality) preview instead of a Binary preview (this option
appears after you click the "save" button when you save as
an .eps). Doing this will cut the size of your image by at
least 50% and doesn't reduce output quality. Just remember
to "link" the image if you place it into Adobe Illustrator.

Preflight
Check-list
• For Grand Format Digital printing (Vutek 3360): If you
will be creating your file in Adobe Photoshop, please save your
file at actual size, at 45 dpi. You can also send your files
saved at another scale, just multiply 45 dpi by the ratio of
scale you use. (For instance, if you will be sending your
artwork at 1/4 scale, multiply 45 dpi by 4 and you have a
resolution of 180 dpi.) If you will be using Adobe Illustrator,
please save your files as specified below.
• For Large Format Digital Printing (HP 5500 and PV200):
Please save all Adobe Photoshop images at 400 dpi at 1/4 scale
or 125 dpi at actual size.
• Go to our
templates page to see if we have a template for
the item you'll be creating. If not, contact the
art department and we may be able to send one to you.
• If you will be sending artwork files saved from Photoshop,
please save them unflattened.
• Convert all text to outlines in Adobe Illustrator and
InDesign.
• Please indicate PMS Colors in your file - do not
convert them to process colors.
• Save all scanned / placed images as CMYK, not RGB.
• Include embedded & linked images in a separate folder.
• Always include a 1" bleed in your files.
• Include printed proofs, being sure to indicate finished
size, PMS colors, fonts used, scale, and any other information.
• Proofread all of your files. While we do our best to
check your files, we can not be responsible for errors in
submitted files. |
